An intimate and inspiring day shared with 2-4 friends, each artist receives generous individual guidance while enjoying a relaxed, refined creative atmosphere.

Tuition takes place in my home studio in Halsall, Lancashire, where I host small, intimate groups of no more than four people. Keeping the group size limited allows me to give each guest thoughtful, personal guidance throughout the day.
If you would prefer a more private experience, you are very welcome to book an exclusive tuition day for yourself. You might also choose to share the day with a partner or a small group of friends. I also offer one-to-one sessions for those who would like dedicated, individual support.
I offer tuition because I understand how challenging it can be to find your own artistic style. Painting skies, in particular, can feel overwhelming without guidance.
There is something truly captivating about skies — they stimulate emotion, evoke memories, and bring a sense of peace and relaxation. Learning how to capture their depth, light, and movement can completely transform your painting practice.
Having a sky painting in your home can create a calming atmosphere, add a sense of openness, and bring natural beauty into your space.

What to Expect on the Day
We begin at 10am with coffee and a relaxed chat before gently exploring colour and brush techniques. This helps you become comfortable with the materials and build confidence before moving onto your large canvas. You’ll develop naturally, knowing I am there to guide you whenever needed.
At around 1:30pm, we pause for lunch — a lovely opportunity to talk, reflect, and share how your painting is developing.
In the afternoon, I tailor my support to you. I can offer subtle advice, hands-on demonstrations, or paint alongside you; the experience is shaped around what feels most helpful. Above all, what matters most to me is that you leave with a finished piece you genuinely love — something you are proud to hang in your home and that reminds you of your day.
We finish at approximately 3:30pm. As we work in acrylics, your painting will be dry enough to take home with you. I will provide fixings and picture string so it is ready to hang once you arrive home.

Materials
Please note that canvases are not included in the tuition fee, so you will need to bring one with you. I recommend a canvas that is at least one inch deep to prevent the wooden frame from showing through when painting. All paints and brushes are provided.
