About Michelle
I have always been captivated by the sky — its colour, movement, and ever-changing light. Whether it’s a dramatic storm at dawn or soft summer clouds drifting overhead, the vastness above us continually inspires my work.
Painting mainly in acrylic, I create expressive skyscapes using bold brushstrokes and layered washes of colour. I work intuitively, building contrast between light and dark to capture atmosphere and emotion. While I love the impact of large-scale canvases, I also enjoy the challenge of recreating expansive skies in smaller studies.
Alongside commissioned work for private clients and designers, I run regular painting tuition days from my home near Birkdale, between Liverpool and Southport. I’m passionate about encouraging others to experiment, paint freely, and discover how creative — and restorative — working on a large scale can be.
